DESCRIPTION:Learn today’s proven trauma skills\n\n\n\nIf you drive a car\, enjoy the occasional outdoor adventure\, do yard work\, or simply leave your home on a regular basis\, this class is made for you. \nThis one day\, 8-hour offering was created specifically to address the most common traumatic injuries and emergency situations everyday citizens face. Real World Trauma will cover a wide range of topics including tourniquet selection\, bleeding control techniques\, airway and respiratory injuries\, trauma kit components\, CPR\, vehicle characteristics\, seat-belt cutting and vehicle glass breaking and many more. All training modules include specific hands-on skills exercises designed to tailor professional techniques to a civilian “everyday” context. \nIn Real World Trauma\, we drive home the understanding that EVERYONE can develop these skills to positively impact the outcome of emergencies and traumatic injury. We bridge the gap from the teachings of the EMS and “tactical” worlds to something more applicable to the everyday citizen.

DESCRIPTION:Shotgun Drills and Skills is a fast-paced\, one-day program designed for shooters already proficient with the shotgun who wish to test their skills. Rather than teaching fundamentals\, this course immerses participants in a curated lineup of drills\, standards\, and qualifications drawn from across the shotgun world—ranging from unique industry-developed tests to benchmark quals used by top agencies. \nStudents will run a wide variety of timed\, scored\, and performance-driven exercises that challenge accuracy\, recoil management\, manipulations\, and problem-solving under pressure. The goal is simple: give you a fun\, demanding day on the range that shows exactly where your skills stand—and where to go next. \nPrerequisites: ALL attendees are expected to have a solid level of proficiency with their defensive shotgun and at minimum have completed Gunset Shotgun Essentials. This will be a faster paced course designed to measure your skillset across the expected standards of the leading shotgun instructors in the community. DESCRIPTION:Become reacquainted with our nation’s unique heritage of Liberty\, Self-Reliance\, and Responsibility through the mastery of long arms. \nTactical Rifle Movement (Formerly Tac Rifle 2) is our next milestone in your journey to become a modern American Rifleman who honors the critical role of civilian use of long arms to defend Home\, Community\, and Liberty. Join us and become reacquainted with our nation’s unique heritage of Liberty\, Self-Reliance\, and Responsibility through the mastery of long arms like the AR-15\, AK47\, or a similarly designed magazine fed semi-auto carbine. \n*** IMPORTANT NOTE: As an intermediate course\, A PREREQUISITE IS REQUIRED of completing our Gunset Tactical Rifle Standards (or another similar course – contact us!…). *** \nWe will build upon the skills introduced in Tactical Rifle Standards by learning techniques and drills for : \n\n\nA greater emphasis on gear placement and utilization. Come prepared with the gear you would use in a real world situation. (Gucci kit is welcome\, but civilians do not need as much gear as you think!)\nMovement with\, and dynamic transition into field positions (prone\, seated\, kneeling\, offhand)\nShooting form unconventional field positions\nMultiple drills to hone your discovery and utilization of Natural Point of Aim (NPOA)\nIntro to target identification and ranging\nPresentation from multiple CQB ready positions\nEfficient Movement at CQB distances\nSpeed reloads (and how they differ from the emergency and admin reloads we learned in Fundamentals)\nAdditional Malfunction Clearing techniques (in addition to the three tiers we learned in Fundamentals)\nSubstantial time will be spent with multiple drills that will perfect your skill with the carbine\, yielding specific diagnoses for where personal training time will best be spent.\n\n\nREQUIRED ITEMS – and some suggestions that will help you get the most out of your class:\n\n\nNotebook and writing utensils! Please take notes!\nReliable Carbine and Handgun\, properly cleaned and lubricated – spare firearms may be a wise choice in the event of a major failure. Carbine must be equipped with quality iron sights or optic.\nRifle Sling – we strongly recommend a 2 point sling for this class. An excellent example is the Vickers VCAS sling.\nHandgun Holster – Outside the Waistband (OWB) holster strongly preferred. To be permitted for use\, it must cover the handgun’s trigger guard\, provide adequate retention\, and allow you to reholster one-handed. Any holster that causes you to release retention devices with your trigger finger (e.g. Blackhawk Serpa) is PROHIBITED.\nSpare Carbine Magazines – minimum 3\, more is better\nCarbine Magazine Carrier – belt pouch and/or chest rig\, plate carrier\, etc. – I run both and explain why in class.\nShooting mat\, blanket\, etc for prone shooting (optional)\n500 rounds carbine ammo\n100 rounds handgun ammo\nEye and Ear protection\nBilled hat\, Shirt with a high collar or tight neck\, and appropriate clothing for shooting outdoors despite the weather\nPLENTY of water\, Gatorade\, etc\, hand sanitizer\, snacks\, sunscreen\, and any other comfort items you may need\n\n\nCancellation Policy: No refunds will be given less than 14 calendar days prior to the class date. Students can be rescheduled for free up to 7 days prior to the class date. Rescheduling requests less than 7 days prior to the class will be subject to a $50 rescheduling fee.

DESCRIPTION:The shotgun is one of the most powerful defensive tools. This course will build the knowledge\, skills\, and abilities necessary to employ it.\nIt is commonly accepted the shotgun represents one of the most powerful defensive tools available. This is our first level course in helping you to build the knowledge\, skills\, and abilities necessary to employ it.\nThe focus of this 8-hour\, one day course is to assist students in developing the proficiency necessary to operate the shotgun in a home based\, defensive context. Topics covered will include:\n– Shotgun selection and set up\n– Shotgun history\, types\, and nomenclature\n– Ammunition types and selection\n– Safe loading/unloading methods\n– Ready positions and target engagement\n– Recoil management\n– Defensive buckshot selection and patterning \nSegments of the course will be sent in video format to\, and viewed by\, all participants prior to class day. There will be a brief review prior to range activities. This allows each student to ensure their chosen shotgun will be properly set up upon arrival\, allows students to receive (and keep) the classroom content as a resource to revisit if needed\, and allows us to enjoy maximized time on the range to build skills.
