Playing cards have been used as targets forever. The modern spark came from the Rangemaster community, where shooters were challenged to make 5 hits on a playing card, from 5 yards, in 5 seconds or less—cold.

So we made it a ritual.

Every week, as soon as we hit the range, before warm-ups or drills, we staple up a card and run it:

• 5 hits

• 5 yards

• 5 seconds or less

• Cold. From concealment.

There are 52 cards in a deck. 52 weeks in a year.
Miss a week and everyone knows. That’s the point.

What started as accountability turned into something bigger. Over time, those weekly cards became a year-long snapshot of real performance—in winter coats, summer heat, rain, snow, and everything in between. Groups tighten. Times drop. Weak points show themselves. And around week twelve, just when you think you’ve got it wired… the deck humbles you again.

We shared a few cards online for fun. Then shooters from around the country started posting theirs. Cadres formed. Training partners showed up. A community happened.

This deck isn’t a gimmick. It’s tactile, analog, and honest—like training used to be.
