The Ohio CHL is valid in 40 States. Topics include Gun Safety, Responsible Ownership, Fundamentals of Accuracy, and Legal Issues.
The Ohio CHL is valid in 40 States. Our course is different than others offered in our area. We comprehensively cover topics such as Gun Safety and Responsible Gun Ownership, Fundamentals of Accuracy, Legal Issues, and MUCH MORE. Our class is fun, interactive, and thorough.
*This class fulfills the requirements as set-forth by the State of Ohio to be issued a Concealed Handgun License by your local Sheriff’s Department. Class size is limited. Registration is open until class is full.
Cancellation Policy: No refunds will be given less than 14 calendar days prior to the class date. Students can be rescheduled for free up to 7 days prior to the class date. Rescheduling requests less than 7 days prior to the class will be subject to a $50 rescheduling fee.
CHECK LIST:
1) Good Positive Attitude
2) Writing Utensil/Highlighter.
3) Lunch – I recommend that you bring something. You will have 30 minutes
4) Dress for the weather – shooting will be outside cold, rain or shine. We will be outside for the last 2.5hrs of class
5) REQUIRED SAFETY EQUIPMENT: Baseball cap or hat with a rim, Eye Protection, Ear Protection – Ear muffs or plugs , no sandals, wear a closed collared shirt – so hot brass doesn’t fall down inside your shirt when shooting
8) FIREARM – EVERYONE NEEDS A GUN to use for the class ( no sharing). I have loaners upon request. NO SINGLE ACTION COWBOY GUNS!! You should have a bag or box that you are carrying your weapon in. Your weapon and ammunitions must be transported separately in your vehicle (one in the trunk and the other in the passenger compartment).
No one should see you carrying your gun around. When you bring it into the class, leave it in the bag or box. We will be handling the weapons in class, but I will give you specific instructions on how to handle them. No one should be touching their weapon in class or on the range unless instructed to do so.
9) Extra Magazines, Speed Loader or Moon Clips. If you have any of these for your firearm, bring them (Unloaded).

11) 100 Rds of Ammunition – NO RELOADS, NO RELOADS, NO RELOADS! FRESH STORE-BOUGHT AMMO ONLY!
12) Change: Bring 8 QUARTERS. I will explain why in the class.
13) Wear a good sturdy belt for your holster. If wearing a long coat, wear a belt that fits on the outside of the coat, so your holster is accessible
14) Holster – one that covers the trigger guard when the weapon is in it ( don’t spend a lot of money, I may have one to loan if needed)

Leave your Ammunition in your car. DO NOT bring ammunition into the classroom. DO NOT bring it loaded in your Firearm or loaded in your Firearm’s Magazine/Clip or in your Pocket, Purse, Gun Case, or any other container. Ammunition will only be allowed when we go outside to the shooting range. Failure to abide by this or any other Safety Rule will be grounds for IMMEDIATE REMOVAL / DISMISSAL from the class.

EXPULSION WARNING
If you come to the class Stoned, or smelling of Marijuana, smelling of Alcohol, apparently Hung Over, Incoherent, Belligerent or anything else that would not be conducive to a Professional and Safe Classroom Environment, you will be expelled from the class (without refund).

If you have any type of criminal history, it is in your best interest to read the “Legal Stuff”, on the Ohio Attorney General’s web page about CCW’s http://www.ohioattorneygeneral.gov/Files/Publications-Files/Publications-for-Law-Enforcement/Concealed-Carry-Publications/Concealed-Carry-Laws-Manual-(PDF) and then follow up with a phone call to an Attorney, Sheriff’s Department or Law Office for any additional questions. The criminal offenses that bar a citizen from receiving a concealed carry license are listed in ORC 2923.125(D)(1)(a)–(s).
