Scott Cronin

Scott Cronin is a career security cooperation professional with the U.S. Department of Defense and the co-owner of TopFlight Range & Firearms, Dayton, Ohio’s premier shooting and training center. He is also the founder and lead pistol instructor of Gunset Training Group, established in 2018.

With more than 13 years of professional teaching experience, Scott has trained thousands of students ranging from first-time gun owners to experienced armed citizens and instructors. He previously served as Training Manager at The Miami Armory, where he led curriculum development, instructor mentorship, and large-scale training programs.

Scott’s instructional approach emphasizes accountability, measurable performance standards, and sound decision-making under pressure. He is committed to continuous professional development and regularly participates in advanced firearms training, instructor development, and combatives education.

Scott lives in Bellbrook, Ohio with his wife of 20 years and their two daughters. Outside the range, he is a lifelong Ohio State Buckeyes fan and a strong advocate for responsible firearms ownership and training.
